PRESENTATION

Peripheral venous access is among the most common and painful of all hospital procedures. VeinViewer technology dramatically improves patient satisfaction, while increasing your staff's efficiency and reducing costs.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Real-time blood vessel visualizer.

  • VeinViewer® is a non-invasive clinical tool designed to improve peripheral vascular access, allowing the healthcare professional to visually locate the location and orientation of blood vessels directly on the patient's skin, leaving both hands free to carry out their work.

VeinViewer® uses a near-infrared wavelength that, combined with its patented technology, achieves a vascular map location by projecting it onto the skin in real time. This wavelength does not emit any type of harmful radiation and the projected image is green since it is the color best captured by the human eye and contrasts on any skin tone.

There are several factors that can make venipuncture difficult, including:

    ✅ Dehydration.
    ✅ Hypertension.
✅ Size and fragility of blood vessels.
    ✅ Skin tone.
    ✅ Edema or fatty tissue.
  • Reduces:

✅ The use of central lines due to failure of peripheral access.

✅ The risk of infections and associated complications.

✅ The involvement of specialized personnel.

✅ The use of excessive disposables.

✅ The possibility of injuries related to sharp material.

✅ The pain and anxiety of patients.

    ✅ Delays in treatment.

✅ Improves the image of the institution by adapting to the needs of patients.

✅ The effectiveness of staff and their availability to assist other patients.

✅ Patient/family satisfaction and trust in staff.
  • ✅ Pre-Access:

    - The most trivial vein is not always the best choice for access. VeinViewer® provides physicians with information to assess and make a better decision.
    - Locates veins that are clinically relevant for a peripheral procedure, up to 10 and 15 mm deep.
    - Uses the VeinViewer® image with TrueView accuracy (reconstruction software included) to make a better decision in catheter gauge selection.
    - Determines the location of valves and bifurcations and avoids complications with these structures.
    - Finds the optimal access point in the vessel that is sufficient to optimally utilize the catheter length.
    - Assesses blood filling rate in real time with visual feedback before line placement and during site review.

    ✅ During Access:

    - Unpredictable factors can make catheter advancement challenging and may require restarting the procedure.
    - Real-time image visualization (Df² system), exclusive to VeinViewer®, allows you to react and adjust the technique to help ensure a successful outcome immediately.
    - Navigate the lines and curves during treatment.
    - Visualize the displacement of the vein.
    - Allows you to see the displacement of any fluid within the vein and thus be sure that we are inside it.

    ✅ Post-Access:

    - Assessing vessel patency with VeinViewer® after catheter placement can help avoid potential complications and improve the patient experience.
    - Allows you to detect a hematoma and potentially avoid infiltration.
    - Correct peripheral placement avoids having to use a central line.

✅ Neonatology

Expectant mothers may experience hypertension, vasoconstriction, nervousness, and edema. VeinViewer® minimizes discomfort, reduces stress, improves efficiency, and allows staff to focus on the needs of other patients. The small diameter of newborn veins makes access to administer medications or perform extractions very difficult. Three to four punctures are usually needed to achieve this, causing high stress and pain in babies. VeinViewer® shows the vascular map in any part of the body, making it possible to choose the best option, avoiding suffering for the baby.

✅ Aesthetics

In the aesthetic area, we find two types of applications: phlebology and Botox application. In phlebology, lasers or microinjections are used to eliminate subcutaneous spider veins. The difficulty of the treatment is in identifying which vessel feeds these spider veins, which is usually too deep for the human eye and too superficial to be captured by ultrasound. By being able to view the vascular map in real time with VeinViewer®, the location and elimination of the vessel along its entire length is possible.

In Botox application, VeinViewer is a method that allows to increase the safety of the application of botulinum toxin on the face, avoiding the appearance of hematomas when the injection is performed far from the center of the vessel shown by VeinViewer. Therefore improving the effectiveness of the procedure, safety and comfort of the patient, avoiding residues of any botulinum toxin in a vessel or near it. VeinViewer®, improves peripheral vascular access providing significant savings and greater efficiency in almost all areas of patient care. Hospitals benefit from better clinical and financial results, and decisively address one of the greatest sources of patient dissatisfaction.
